Prince Albert RCMP charged a male with aggravated assault after a shooting in Redwing, SK.
On July 3, 2026 at approximately 9:30 p.m., Prince Albert RCMP received a report of a shooting in Redwing.
Investigation determined there was an altercation between a group of individuals. During the altercation, a firearm was discharged, injuring a male in the group. The male went to the hospital and reported serious injuries to police.
As a result of investigation, Prince Albert RCMP located and seized a firearm at a residential property. An adult male was arrested.
38-year-old Leon Black from Prince Albert, SK is charged with:
- one count, aggravated assault, Section 268(2), Criminal Code; and
- one count, discharge firearm with intent, Section 244, Criminal Code.
Leon Black appeared in Prince Albert Provincial Court on July 6, 2026 (Information #90543885).
