Prince Albert Police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run collision that claimed the life of a 58-year-old man over the weekend.
Police say 58-year-old Kenneth Michel died in hospital on July 19 from injuries he sustained after being struck by a vehicle on the night of July 17.
Officers were called to the 2600 block of 2nd Avenue West at approximately 11:22 p.m. following reports of a collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian.
When police arrived, they found Michel unconscious and in need of immediate medical attention.
He was transported by Parkland Ambulance to Victoria Hospital with what were believed to be critical injuries.
The Prince Albert Police Service Major Crimes Unit and Forensic Identification Section continue to investigate the incident.
Investigators have since located and seized the suspect vehicle, described as a red 2005 Acura four-door sedan with tinted rear windows.

Police are asking anyone who may have seen the vehicle between 10 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. on July 17 to contact investigators.
