A 47-year-old Green Lake woman is facing a second-degree murder charge following a homicide investigation in the community.
Green Lake RCMP were called to a report of an injured man around 10:35 p.m. on July 21. Officers located 46-year-old Michael Lafond of Green Lake outside a business on McIntosh Avenue.
EMS attended the scene and declared Lafond deceased. His family has been notified and victim services have been made available.
Police arrested a woman on 3rd Avenue in Green Lake in connection with the investigation, and Saskatchewan RCMP’s Homicide Investigation Unit took over the case.
Following the investigation, 47-year-old Angela Kusnezoff of Green Lake has been charged with one count of second-degree murder.
Kusnezoff is scheduled to appear in Meadow Lake Provincial Court on July 23.
