A 29-year-old Montreal Lake woman is facing charges after an altercation on Montreal Lake Cree Nation left another woman seriously injured.
Waskesiu/Montreal Lake RCMP say officers were called to a residence on Naytowhow Lane at approximately 11:15 p.m. on June 12 after receiving a report of an injured female.
Investigators determined an altercation had occurred between two adult women inside the residence. During the incident, one woman suffered serious injuries and was transported to hospital by STARS air ambulance.
Police say the second woman left the residence before officers arrived.
Later that day, RCMP arrested an adult female at a separate residence on Montreal Lake Cree Nation.
