A 24-year-old man is facing multiple charges after RCMP responded to a firearm incident on Shoal Lake Cree Nation earlier this week.
Carrot River RCMP say officers were called to the community around 9:20 p.m. on June 1st after receiving reports of a man pointing a firearm at people outside a residence. Police say no injuries were reported.
Investigators determined the suspect had entered the home before officers arrived. RCMP later executed a search warrant at the residence with assistance from Nipawin RCMP and the Saskatchewan RCMP Critical Incident Response Team.
Police say officers arrested 24-year-old Mikey Bear of Shoal Lake Cree Nation and seized a firearm during the operation.
