A Saskatoon man is facing multiple charges after an incident that led to an alleged assault on RCMP officers in Beauval.

Beauval RCMP say officers were called to a residence at approximately 1:30 a.m. on June 8 after receiving reports of a disturbance.

Police determined an altercation had occurred between a man and a group of individuals at the home, during which a door was damaged.

According to RCMP, the man left the property before officers arrived.

A short time later, police received another report that the same individual had damaged a police vehicle parked outside a residence in the community.

Officers located the suspect and arrested him.

RCMP allege the man threatened and assaulted officers during the arrest.

As a result of the investigation, 28-year-old Andrew Aubichon of Saskatoon is charged with resisting or obstructing a peace officer, assaulting a police officer, uttering threats, failing to comply with a probation order and several counts of mischief, including one count of mischief over $5,000 related to damage to a motor vehicle.

Aubichon made his first court appearance in Buffalo Narrows Provincial Court on June 10.
