UPDATE:
La Ronge RCMP and Saskatchewan RCMP’s La Ronge Crime Reduction Team arrested Sampson Roberts on June 17, 2026 in the La Ronge area.
He is scheduled to appear in La Ronge Provincial Court on June 18, 2026 (Information #90585962).
La Ronge RCMP are searching for a suspect following a shooting that left one man injured.
Police say the incident was reported around 2:45 p.m. on June 11 on Bird Place, where an altercation between two adult men escalated.
During the incident, one of the men discharged a firearm, injuring the other.
The injured man was taken to hospital by EMS with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
RCMP say the suspect left the scene in a vehicle taken from the location. The vehicle has since been recovered, but the suspect remains at large.
Police have identified the suspect as 25-year-old Sampson Roberts of the La Ronge area, who is now wanted on multiple charges, including discharge of a firearm with intent and robbery with a firearm.
