Two men are facing attempted murder and organized crime charges following an investigation that began in mid-April in Regina.

Regina police say officers were patrolling the area of Dewdney Avenue and Argyle Street around 1:50 a.m. on April 12, 2026, when they found an injured adult man on a sidewalk. The victim had multiple lacerations and was taken to hospital by EMS with what were described as serious injuries.

The investigation involved the Regina Police Service Major Crimes Unit, Forensic Identification Unit and Canine Unit.

Shortly after 2 a.m., officers executed a search warrant at a residence in the 1400 block of Elphinstone Street, where multiple people were located inside. Some individuals were arrested on outstanding warrants.

As the investigation continued, police arrested and charged two men in connection to the incident.

On June 10, 31-year-old Kenneth Manitopyes was charged with attempted murder and committing an offence for a criminal organization. He made his first court appearance on June 11 in Regina Provincial Court.

The following day, 37-year-old Chad Keewatin was charged with attempted murder, committing an offence for a criminal organization, and breach of a release order. Keewatin was scheduled to make his first court appearance on June 12.

Police say the investigation remains ongoing.
