A 28-year-old Stanley Mission woman is facing several charges after an incident involving RCMP on May 18.
Police say officers were called to a residence around 9:35 a.m. following reports of a woman with a firearm.
RCMP say the firearm was not discharged and no injuries were reported.
According to police, the suspect fled before officers arrived but was later located following further investigation.
RCMP then alledge the woman attempted to flee on foot and tried to spray officers with bear mace during the arrest.
Police say the bear mace canister was empty and no officers were injured.
An imitation firearm was later recovered from a nearby residence.
Phyllis Roberts is charged with assaulting a police officer, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, resisting arrest and two counts of failing to comply with a probation order.
Roberts appeared in La Ronge Provincial Court on May 19.
RCMP say the investigation remains ongoing.
