The RCMP have arrested four people and two suspects remain wanted following an armed robbery and a separate flight‑from‑police incident connected to an investigation on the Thunderchild First Nation.

The robbery happened in the afternoon of May 9th, when three suspects arrived at a residence in a car and a truck. The suspects assaulted a resident, stole an ATV, and were believed to be armed with a firearm. The victim reported minor injuries.

Later on that day, officers located a vehicle matching the description of a suspect car near Thunderchild First Nation. When police attempted a traffic stop, the driver fled. The vehicle was later found about thirty kilometres north of North Battleford after leaving the roadway and rolling.

Four people, one man and three women, were arrested without incident. One occupant was taken to hospital as a precaution and later released into custody.

Police say a search of the vehicle turned up multiple knives, a sword, as well as cocaine and methamphetamine. Officers also located keys to a vehicle that had previously been reported stolen. RCMP say further investigation determined the four individuals arrested were not involved in the initial armed robbery.

Now, 22-year-old Kade Schacher, of Lloydminster, is charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking (x2), possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, flight from a peace officer, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, and possession of proceeds of crime under $5,000.

37-year-old Charlene Wright, 31-year-old Tanis Nicotine, and 27-year-old Sommer Thunderchild, all of Lloydminster, are each charged with two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking and one count of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

Schacher, Wright, Nicotine, and Thunderchild are scheduled to appear in court in St. Walburg on June 2.

As a result of the ongoing investigation, RCMP say a fifth individual, Rocky Wuttunee from Lloydminster, has been charged in connection with the robbery.

Police are still searching for two additional suspects believed to have been involved in the armed robbery.

Warrants have been issued for 22-year-old Dimetre Paskimin, and 29-year-old Phoenix Standingwater.

They are each charged with charged with robbery with firearm. Dimetre Paskimin is also charged with using an imitation firearm in the commission of an offence and assault with a weapon.
