The time is ticking down to the closure of the Wollaston Lake Overland roadway.
The roadway is planned to be closed and blocked to traffic effective Friday April 10, 2026.
The closure is said to be necessary due to the wet conditions in the spring, and to allow for the completion of the roadway this summer.
From the sounds of things the project is progressing well and is projected to be on schedule.
The Wollaston Barge will resume operations this summer as soon as possible.
If everything goes as planned the road way will open permanently to traffic by early fall 2026.
