The Saskatoon Police Service’s Major Crime Section is investigating the city’s third homicide.
On April 3, 2026, police and fire were called to a residence for a structure fire in the 400 block of Avenue I South.
During firefighting operations, firefighters removed a 61-year-old female from the structure.
The victim was declared deceased at the scene.
It has been determined to be suspicious and is being investigated as a homicide
