White Butte RCMP was investigating a two-vehicle collision on the eastbound lanes of Highway #1 near McLean and Balgonie, which happened on March 7, 2026 at approximately 8:15 a.m.
Investigation determined that a pick-up truck and car collided.
Both passengers of the car were declared deceased by EMS at the scene and have been identified as a 39-year-old female and 44-year-old male from Melville, SK.
The driver of the truck was taken to hospital by STARS with injuries described as non-life threatening. The passenger of the truck was taken to hospital by EMS with injuries described as non-life threatening.
White Butte RCMP continue to investigate with the assistance of a Saskatchewan RCMP collision reconstructionist.
