UPDATE #2: March 3, 2026 at 3:43 p.m.

On February 26, the last wanted person that was related to a stabbing in Muskoday First Nation has been arrested.

Chance Smith was located and arrested at a residence on Muskoday First Nation in relation to a stabbing that occurred on Muskoday First Nation in January 2026.

During the arrest, officers located and seized brass knuckles that Chance Smith had in his possession.

As a result, Chance Smith was additionally charged with: unauthorized possession of a prohibited weapon or restricted weapon; carrying a concealed weapon; fail to comply with release order condition; and weapons possession contrary to order.

Chance Smith appeared in Prince Albert Provincial Court on February 27, 2026 and his next court appearance is in Prince Albert Provincial Court on March 5.


Update February 5:

RCMP say one of the two wanted men from this incident has been arrested.

RCMP say the Prince Albert Police Service arrested Jordan Stonestand on Wednesday.

Stonestand is set to appear in court on Thursday in Prince Albert.

Two males are charged and wanted by Prince Albert RCMP after two people were assaulted on Muskoday First Nation over the weekend.

On January 24, 2026, around 6:30 p.m., Prince Albert RCMP received a call of a stabbing which happened at a residence on Muskoday First Nation, SK.

Officers responded along with EMS and STARS air ambulance.

Two adult male victims with injuries consistent with stab wounds were located and EMS transported one of the victims to hospital with injuries described as non-life-threatening.

The second victim was transported to hospital by STARS with injuries described as serious.

Four suspects wearing masks entered a residence on Muskoday First Nation with two of the suspects having assaulted the victims.

A warrant has been issued for Jordan Stonestand and Chance Smith’s arrest.
