A Saskatoon teen who set a girl on fire at a high school is set to have a sentencing hearing on Thursday.
The teen pleaded guilty last year to attempted murder in the September 2024 attack at a high school in the city.
The court heard the offender splashed lighter fluid on the victim and set her ablaze in a hallway.
The teen also pleaded guilty to causing bodily harm to a teacher who came to the victim’s aid.
The accused in the incident has been in police custody since September 2024.
Sentencing submissions will be given at the hearing with a judge most likely rendering a decision at a later date.
