Two Indigenous companies have been names as one of Saskatchewan’s top employers in 2026.
The Saskatchewan Indian Gaming Authority and the First Nations Bank of Canada were named a Saskatchewan Top Employer by Canada’s Top 100 Employers.
The award is given out annually to recognize employers that lead their industries in offering exceptional workplaces.
SIGA representatives say they were thrilled for the recognition.
“SIGA’s focus is on building meaningful careers our employees can be proud of, not simply offering jobs. Being recognized as a Saskatchewan Top Employer validates our dedication to our guiding principles and fostering a workplace where employees feel genuinely supported in pursuing their career and personal goals,” said SIGA’s President and CEO Zane Hansen.
Meanwhile the First Nations Bank of Canada was highlighted for strong Indigenous supportive HR practices including leave for traditional Indigenous practice.
“This award affirms that our growth strategy is rooted in people and purpose,” said Bill Lomax, President and CEO, FNBC. “We are building a bank that attracts top talent from across the country because our mission matters—delivering financial services that strengthen the economic well-being of Indigenous Peoples.”
This the 21st year the Saskatchewan Top Employer awards have been handed out.
