The Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission will be holding public hearings this week for a proposed uranium project in northern Saskatchewan.
Indigenous communities and other interested parties will get the opportunity to speak to the commission on NexGen Energy’s Rook 1 uranium project.
This is the second part of a 2-part hearing on the project hosted by the commission.
After the hearings, the nuclear safety commission will then decide whether to offer NexGen an official license for the project.
The hearings will take place in Saskatoon and are scheduled to run until Thursday.
