The Regina Police Service is once again asking the public for any information they may have in relation to the disappearance of Nakita Jade Harris. Nakita also goes by her middle name, Jade.
“Today, the Regina Police Service is renewing our request for information that could assist investigators in locating Nakita Jade Harris,” says Deputy Chief of Operations, Laurel Marshall. “We understand that life circumstances change over time and someone may have information that could assist us. Now is the time for them to come forward. Nakita has a loving family, including a young daughter, who deserve answers.”
Nakita was last seen in October 2023, at a residence in the 2200 block of Broder Street. She was last heard from in early November 2023. Nakita was reported missing to police on April 10, 2024. At the time she was reported missing, Ms. Harris was 30 years old.
Despite months of investigation, including multiple interviews, search warrants and other investigative techniques, no new information about her whereabouts has come forward.
The investigation, led by the Regina Police Service Major Crimes Unit, reveals no activity in her bank accounts or on her social media, and there is no record of her accessing any public health or social services. In addition to this, Nakita’s family, including her 12 year-old daughter, have not heard from Nakita. It is unusual for Nakita to miss holidays and birthdays with her daughter.
Based on the information investigators have gathered, and her lack of communication with family, investigators believe Nakita to be deceased. However, without having located her, Nakita remains on the Regina Police Service Long-Term Missing Persons List and her family holds on to the hope she is still alive.
Nakita is described as 5’ 5” tall, approximately 150 pounds with a medium build.
Nakita changes her appearance frequently, but when she was last seen in October of 2023, she had black hair, hazel eyes and numerous body tattoos.
Note-able tattoos include: a skull & butterfly on her upper left arm, compass on her left elbow, campfire on her left forearm, and an octopus on her right hand.
She also has a pierced septum.
The family of Nakita have released some statements.
“Let me start by telling you a little about my daughter NAKITA….she is very strong willed; she is a leader not a follower. She is artistic and loves to paint. She is determined and smart. She is a mom, sister, granddaughter, niece and daughter. She dearly loves her daughter, and would not intentionally leave her in Regina. She is dearly missed and we need to bring her home. We need your help with this and if anyone knows anything at all, even the littlest thing, it may help find her. She would stand out in a crowd because of her tattoos and her beauty, she would wear wigs and change her appearance often. Someone knows something so please reach out. we need to find her. Her daughter needs her mom, and i need my daughter. She is my youngest child and i miss her deeply…..so i ask you to please help us and the police to find her. Nakita if you see this or hear this please know that we love you and we are here for you no matter what happens we can get through it together….mom 💔,” said Paula Murphy, Nakita Jade Harris’ Mother.
“Hello. I am Nakita’s daughter. My mom has been missing for 2 years. She always loved doing art, crafts and painting, but most of all being with me. My mom has been a huge part in my life and she always found a way to see me. I would love if we could find her to ensure her safety and I am so happy to have a mom like her,” said her 12-year-old daughter.

There is no evidence to believe Nakita Jade HARRIS has come to harm, however, police would like to locate her to ensure her safety.
