Wanuskewin Heritage Park has been featured in an international magazine as one of Canada’s best travel experiences.

The magazine Selling Travel is one of the United Kingdoms leading travel publications.

In a recent feature, the international magazine recognized Wanuskewin as one of the top ten iconic travel experiences in the country.

The article highlighted the return of the bison to the Wanuskewin as a powerful symbol of the park’s commitment ecological restoration and cultural experience.

Officials from Wanuskewin say the article is a wonderful way to close out 2025.

“(The article) highlights the global significance of this living cultural landscape and reinforces our journey toward UNESCO World Heritage designation,” said Andrew McDonald, Co-Executive Director of Wanuskewin Heritage Park. “We invite everyone to experience a place where Indigenous history, culture, and the vitality of the prairies all come together. Wanuskewin welcomes the world.”

The heritage park is currently embarking on a quest to become a UNESCO World Heritage site.

A campaign they first started in 2017.
