In the SJHL Colten Scott put in a strong performance stopping 42 shots as the Nipawin Hawks edged the La Ronge Ice Wolves 3-2 at the JRMCC.
Mason Karakochuk started the scoring for the Hawks in the first period before receiving a game misconduct in the second frame.
Trevor Oishi and Jacob Morrison made it a close contest, scoring in the third period for La Ronge.
Nipawin captain Finlay Radloff contributed a pair of assists for the victory.
The league is now off until Friday when the Ice Wolves visit Warman.
The Hawks will be back in action as well Friday as they host the Flin Flon Bombers.
