The Provincial government has renewed their support for a program supporting Indigenous youth entrepreneurship.
The government says they are renewing their partnership with the Martin Family Initiative through the Indigenous Youth Entrepreneurship Program.
The program aims to empower First Nations and Metis high school students to explore business opportunities.
“Initiatives like IYEP are about more than just classroom learning, they are about helping students see what’s possible,” said Education Minister Everett Hindley in a media release from the government. “When students gain hands-on experience in entrepreneurship and financial literacy, they build the confidence and skills they need to shape their own futures. That’s the kind of impact we are proud to support.”
The program will be delivered in 16 different schools across the province.
The government says the Ministry of Education is providing $60,000 this year for the delivery of the program.
