Prince Albert RCMP are investigating a series of armed robberies that occurred near Wahpeton Dakota First Nation and are seeking to locate and confirm the wellbeing of a male suspect believed to be involved.
On November 7, 2025, around 4:30 p.m., Prince Albert RCMP received multiple reports of armed robberies in progress in the area.
Initial investigation determined that a vehicle was driving erratically at a high rate of speed on Whitefield Road near Wahpeton Dakota First Nation before it lost control and collided with a power pole.
The male suspect, armed with a firearm, then attempted to steal three other vehicles in the vicinity.
During one of these attempts, a vehicle left the road and entered a slough as the driver struggled with the suspect.
The suspect then fired a shot into the air, prompting the occupant of a third vehicle to exit.
The suspect stole that third vehicle and fled the scene.
The stolen vehicle was later located abandoned in Prince Albert by the Prince Albert Police Service.
Investigators believe the suspect may have sustained injuries from the initial collision with the power pole.
He is described as a male with a tattoo on his face.
RCMP are actively working to locate him and confirm his condition.
Prince Albert RCMP are asking anyone who has information about this incident or who may have seen an injured male on the afternoon of November 7, 2025, to contact police.
