RCMP say all people involved in a car crash near Melfort Thursday night have died.
RCMP say the two-vehicle collision between a truck and an SUV occurred at around 6:15pm on Highway 3 west of the community.
Mounties say emergency personnel responded immediately.
The driver of the truck, a 31-year-old man from James Smith Cree Nation, was pronounced dead at the scene.
RCMP say the passenger of the truck, a 24-year-old man, also from James Smith Cree Nation, was transported to hospital where he was later pronounced deceased.
According to sources, the two men who died were Rene and Seth Constant – brothers and members of the band Constant Reminder.
Condolences on social media have poured out in the wake of the tragic news.
The lone occupant of the SUV, who also passed away, has been identified as a 59-year-old man from Kinistino.
Mounties say the families of everyone who died have been notified.
In the meantime, RCMP say the collision continues to be under investigation and a collision reconstructionist is assisting.
