The family of missing 24-year-old Natanis Merasty is organizing a search in the community of James Smith Cree Nation for Saturday, November 1, 2025.
They announced this week that they will be looking for volunteers to assist in raising awareness about Natanis Merasty’s disappearance.
“She would have been one of our future matriarchs, and possibly she can still be, we hope,” said Tannis Merasty, aunt to Natanis. “We’re not going to give up hope, and we continue to believe she’ll be home one day.”
The event will begin at 10:30 a.m. with volunteers gathering at the Peter Ballantyne Cree Nation Urban Reserve parking lot at Prince Albert.
Which is located near 2300 10th Avenue West, Prince Albert; just watch for the group.
The group plans to leave Prince Albert around 11 a.m. after the briefing of the search party.
The family reminds the public that this is not about blaming anyone but finding Natanis.
They also are reminding people if they have any information regarding the case to direct the information to the authorities or Crime Stoppers.
“We ask that you respect the locations and not post or say anything negative towards any places that we are visiting. We did have a lot of support coming in, and we appreciate that,” explained Tannis Merasty.
Natanis Merasty went missing on May 5, 2025, and her family is bringing awareness to her case with the help of James Smith Cree Nation.
