Nipawin RCMP say the person who died after being hit by a vehicle last week had been reported missing.

The victim has been identified as a 30-year-old Courtnall Flett from Shoal Lake Cree Nation.

On October 2nd police were called to the scene of a collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian on Highway 55 near Nipawin.

Flett was pronounced dead at the scene.

The 30-year-old was previously the subject of a missing persons report and RCMP say his family has been notified.

Investigators say the driver of the vehicle stayed at the scene and was not injured.
