A 63-year-old male from Moose jaw has been arrested and charged with fraud-related charges following a lengthy investigation.
The Moose Jaw Police Service’s Criminal Investigation Section (CIS) began to investigate, in 2024, into the fraudulent activity of a Moose Jaw resident.
CIS conducted a search warrant on a residence on August 29, 2025 and through the investigation, they discovered evidence of a large-scale online scam with victims from across Canada.
During the scam, victims were encouraged to send money via e-transfer or wire transfer as part of an online loan application through fraudulent websites.
MJPS has arrested and charged Timothy Hollinger, 63, with one count each of Fraud Over $5000, Fraud Under $5000, Money Laundering.
He made his first court appearance in the Moose Jaw Provincial Court on September 2, 2025, and was remanded into police custody.
His next court appearance is scheduled for September 5, 2025.
The investigation continues and the MJPS is working to identify additional victims with the assistance of law enforcement partners.
