The Northern Village of Ile a la Crosse has elected a new mayor.
The community held a by-election yesterday and according to the election results Myra Malboeuf will serve as the next mayor of Ile a la Crosse.
The by-election was called after Buckley Belanger vacated the position after being elected a Member of Parliament.
