A summary of the forensic audit of spending at the Federation of Sovereign Indigenous Nations has been released online.

The document reveals the organization has millions in questionable, ineligible and unsupported expenditures over a five year period.

The investigation by Indigenous Services Canada was launched in March 2024.

A number of recommendations have been made to the FSIN.

They include looking at internal policies and procedures.

The federation has so far not commented on the audit findings.
