A man from Buffalo Narrows has been sentenced for defrauding his local radio station.
A Saskatchewan Provincial Judge, posted a written decision on the matter last month.
In the decision, Michael Bouvier was sentenced to house arrest and has been ordered to pay back $200,000 he stole from the Buffalo Narrows Broadcasting Corporation.
According the written decision, Bouvier stole the money through different avenues in 2017.
He had served as the radio stations manager since 2012, but was fired in 2018 after the fraud was discovered by the station’s board.
Bouvier has been handed a sentence of two years of house arrest plus an additional three years of probation.
He also must pay back the money he stole starting at $400 a month.
