On August 2, 2025 at approximately 7:15 a.m., Stanley Mission RCMP received a report of an injured male at a residence in Grandmother’s Bay.
Officers responded and located a seriously injured male, who was later pronounced deceased by EMS at the scene.
He has been identified as 23-year-old Dillon Charles from Grandmother’s Bay.
His family has been notified and victim services made available to them.
The death was considered suspicious, and a male teenager was arrested at the scene.
Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes has taken carriage of the investigation.
As a result of continued investigation, a male teenager from Grandmother’s Bay is charged with one count, second-degree murder.
He appeared in La Ronge Provincial Court on August 5, 2025.
We are unable to identify the male teenager as per the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
