A police operation in Prince Albert’s East Hill area Tuesday evening resulted in the successful arrest of a high-risk offender who was wanted for multiple violent Criminal Code offences.

On August 26, 2025, the Emergency Response Team (ERT) conducted a successful operation at a residence in the 3000 block of 5A Avenue East where the high-risk offender was arrested without further incident.

The 26-year-old man, Layne Epp, was wanted on warrants for robbery with a firearm, assault with a weapon, assault, uttering threats, evading police (x2), dangerous operation of a motor vehicle (x2), obstructing justice, breach of probation (x4), and breach of a release order (x2).

Epp appeared in Prince Albert Provincial Court on Wednesday.
