The Saskatchewan Public Safety Agency (SPSA) has lifted the provincial fire ban as of 11 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 13, 2025 due to improved conditions.

The Northern Saskatchewan Administration District and all Crown lands north of the provincial forest line up to the Churchill River will no longer be subject to the provincial fire prohibition.

The public should be aware that local fire bans, restrictions, or advisories may still be in effect in towns, First Nation’s communities, national parks, provincial parks, and Rural Municipals.

The SaskParks website and the interactive fire ban map from the SPSA provide list of fire restrictions in provincial parks and leisure areas.

Provincial parks and municipalities should keep an eye on local conditions and enforce burning limits or fire bans as needed.
