RCMP issued tickets to protesters on a bridge north of Prince Albert yesterday afternoon, and arrested a woman who they say refused to leave.

Police say that several reports from the public accused the protesters of hitting their vehicle as they drove past.

Mounties say officers tried to get them to move off the roadway and they refused.

All seven were ticketed under the Traffic Safety Act for unlawfully walking on a highway.

Police say a woman refused to leave the highway and she was arrested without further incident.

According to some social media posts, this was the same group that threatened a bridge blockade during the wildfires in northern Saskatchewan.

At that time, the Prince Albert Grand Council condemned the idea of a bridge blockade.

Reports say, this time around, the group was protesting Bill C-5.
