During an traffic stop on Highway #1 near Indian Head, Saskatchewan, the RCMP observed two men travelling from Ontario to British Columbia.

 Upon further investigation, officers conducted asearch of the semi and trailer.

Resulting in the officers finding and seized approximately 247 grams of opium and 490 boxes containing approximately 4.9 million unstamped cigarettes.

The driver and passenger were arrested at the scene.

Manjinder Singh, 27, and Harmanjeet Singh, 23, both from Brampton, ON, are each charged with one count of the following:  possession for the purpose of trafficking, offer for sale, transport, deliver, distribute, or have in his possession for the purpose of sale a tobacco product, or a raw leaf tobacco that is unstamped; sell, offer for sale of have in his possession a tobacco product unstamped; unlawfully import tobacco into Saskatchewan and possess, store, transport or sell tobacco that is not marked in a prescribed manner.

Manjinder Singh and Harmanjeet Singh are scheduled to appear in Indian Head Provincial Court on October 21, 2025.
