The number of people under evacuation in the province due to wildfires has grown in recent days.
On Friday, the Saskatchewan Public Safety Agency said there were over 900 people evacuated. Most of those evacuated at the time were in the Beauval area.
However, full evacuations in Patuanak and partial evacuations in Pinehouse and Montreal Lake Cree Nation over the weekend has grown the number of evacuees to around 1700.
1200 of whom are being directly supported by the SPSA. Other evacuees are being supported either by the Canadian Red Cross or the Meadow Lake Tribal Council.
In the meantime, officials do say the evacuation order for Kinoosao is no longer in place and residents will begin repatriation efforts on Monday.
The SPSA says there are currently 55 active wildfires in the province, 12 of which are listed as not contained.
To date, Saskatchewan has had 369 wildfires this year, which is well above the five-year average of 260.
