Chief Teddy Clark has been re-elected as chief of Clearwater River Dene Nation.
The Cree Nation held their election on Thursday, July 3, 2025.
Clark won the vote for chief with 740 votes while his nearest challenger, Randy Herman, received 603 votes.
The band also elected 6 councilor positions to: incumbent Roy Sean Cheecham with 567 votes, incumbent Brenda Janvier with 411 votes, newly elected Derek Herman with 379 votes, newly elected Walter Hainault with 330 votes, newly elected Farris Lemaigre with 260 votes, and incumbent Randy E. Janvier with 256 votes.
The newly elected chief and council will serve four year terms.
