Metis citizens from across Saskatchewan headed to the polls on Saturday for the Metis Nation-Saskatchewan election.

Polls would close at 8:00pm and the MNS election website would post the unofficial results shortly after.

The official results will be declared following a verification process.

According to these preliminary results, Glen McCallum was re-elected president.

As for the vice-president, the voting is too close to make an unofficial declaration at this time. Michelle LeClair currently leads by under 100 votes.

Another close race is for the Eastern Region 2A representative as just 2 votes separates the two candidates.
