Evacuations are now in place for Flin Flon and Creighton

A MANDATORY EVACUATION ORDER IS IN PLACE FOR FLIN FLON.

All residents and visitors must evacuate the community.

Everyone who is able to arrange their own transportation is advised to leave town as soon as possible.

Residents are expected to be clear of the community by 12:00am (midnight) tonight.

For community members with their own transportation, they are advised to evacuate through Provincial Road #10, heading towards The Pas.

The #10 may have some visibility issues, but it is currently considered safe to drive.

Do not attempt to drive through PR #39 directly towards Thompson.

According to the town of Creighton Facebook page, the community is now under a evacuation order.

They are asking residents who registered, using the Saskatchewan evacuation app, to log in to the application when arriving at your destination.

They want to ensure everyone is safe and accounted for.

If you have not registered – Call Town Office or the recreation office to register.

If you need transportation out of town, meet at Sportex at 8 am Thursday May 29.
