The Prince Albert Police Service is investigating a sexual assault that took place last night. 

At roughly 10:36 p.m., the Prince Albert Police Service patrol division was called to assist Mobile Crisis with a female youth who had been sexually assaulted. 

It’s reported that at around 9 p.m., the victim, a 12-year-old girl, was walking around Central Avenue and 15th Street when she was approached by an unknown male. 

Police say the suspect forced the victim behind a building on the south side of 15th Street and sexually assaulted her, using an edged weapon to prevent her escape. 

The victim was released by the suspect, fled the scene, and connected with Mobile Crisis for support. 

The male suspect is described as wearing all black (black shoes, black pants, and a black hat) and was concealing his face with a black mask.
