A 49-year-old man is facing charges after a death and fire in La Loche.
RCMP were called out about a fight in a home around 2:30 Wednesday morning.
Police say officers found two injured people, a 52-year old woman and an 81-year old man.
The woman died in hospital.
The man was sent to hospital in Saskatoon with serious injuries.
The suspect, who was identified by police as 49-year-old Marty Keith Toulejor, is charged with second-degree murder, attempted murder, aggravated assault, and arson.
Toulejor made his first court appearance in La Loche on Thursday and is remanded into custody.
