Saskatchewan RCMP are investigating a suspicious death.

In a media release sent out Thursday afternoon RCMP said officers from their Battleford detachment were called to the Red Pheasant Cree Nation after human remains were found outside a home.

Police said a search of the First Nation led to some evidence being found in a treed area of the community.

The deceased person has been identified as 44-year-old Candie Pritchard of Rabbit Lake.

RCMP said an autopsy along with their investigation has found that Pritchard’s death is suspicious.

Police are asking anyone with knowledge about Pritchard’s whereabouts between Jan. 1 and Feb. 5 to contact them or Crime Stoppers.
