Canadian Challenge Sled Dog Race organizers have confirmed this year’s race will be going ahead.
In a post on the race’s official Facebook page organizers said the 2024 event will be going ahead as planned. The decision comes after members of the race’s board of directors inspected the trail this weekend and deemed it to be in good enough condition.
Race organizers said trail conditions have been helped by recent snow and cold temperatures.
Organizers said 28 mushers are set to take part in the race this year.
Mushers are set to hit the trails on Feb. 20 at Missinipe.
