Authorities are investigating a death at the Pine Grove Correctional Center Wednesday.
Corrections officials said a 23-year-old woman on remand was found unresponsive in a common area of the facility shortly before 1 PM.
The woman was transported to Victoria Hospital, where she was pronounced dead an hour later.
Foul play is not suspected. An internal investigation will be conducted.
