A man from Prince Albert is celebrating a big scratch off ticket win.
Emilie Tessier has won $500,000 off of a Countdown to Christmas scratch off ticket. The P.A. man bought the winning ticket at the Shell station in Hague, a community north of Saskatoon.
The big win comes after Tessier originally won $200 on a Countdown to Christmas ticket and decided to put some of those winnings towards another ticket which produced an even bigger win.
“I just melted!” Tessier said. “I didn’t expect this to happen today.”
Tessier is planning to put his winnings towards buying a new truck along with some land outside of P.A. He said winning the big prize has been quite the experience.
“I’m just very overwhelmed!” he laughed. “I’m still shaking!”
