One person has died and an RCMP officer was injured during a shooting on Red Earth Cree Nation.
According to RCMP, the incident began around 3:40 A.M. Tuesday when RCMP were called to reports of a gunshot.
After an intial investigation, two people were arrested but there is no word on charges.
However, a third suspect, a 25-year-old man, was also located and RCMP say a firearm was discharged at the RCMP vehicles and a shoot-out occurred.
The 25-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene.
An RCMP officer was also injured in the incident, but his injuries are not considered life threatening.
The Saskatchewan Serious Incident Response Team has been called in to investigate the situation.
