RCMP are investigating an early Friday morning shooting on the Montreal Lake Cree Nation.
At approximately 5:30 AM police responded to a report of an injured woman.
Mounties say an altercation between two people took place, with a firearm being discharged.
The woman was taken to hospital with what are described as serious injuries.
RCMP says it will provide further updates when available.
