The Saskatchewan Indian Gaming Authority (SIGA) is reporting a big win at one of their casinos.

SIGA said Jeffrey Stephaniuk, who is from Regina won the Smoke Signals Jackpot on Sunday Sept. 17 at the Gold Horse Casino in LIoydminister. Stepaniuk was officially handed a cheque for $1,490,640.58 Thursday at the casino.

In a media release sent out Thursday afternoon, Gold Horse Casino’s General Manager Justina Sather congratulated Stephaniuk on his win. SIGA Regional General Manager Trevor Marion as well offered congratulations to the winner.

“Congratulations to our latest Gold Horse Casino Millionaire, Jeffrey Stephaniuk, we wish you all the best and enjoy your winnings,” he said.

Smoke Signals is a SIGA wide progressive jackpot that links 51 slot machines at all seven casinos in the province.
