More information is being released into the in-custody death at the Pelican Narrows RCMP detachment.
The Serious Incident Response Team, which is investigating the death, says the unidentified 34-year-old man was arrested on Saturday morning for alleged break and enter. He was transported to the detachment and later processed there. He would remain in custody. .
At approximately 2:30 Sunday afternoon, the man went into medical distress. Officers performed First Aid and he was transported to the Pelican Narrows Medical Centre, where he was pronounced deceased.
An autopsy has been ordered. A report detailing the circumstances of the death will be released at a later date.
