Two people are facing over ten separate charges each after an alleged assault Wednesday morning in Hall Lake.
La Ronge RCMP said they were called to the community and their investigation found a man had been confined in a home and assaulted. Police said the man was taken to hospital with what are described as non life threatening injuries.
Eventually police said they were able to find and arrest a man and a woman at a nearby home in relation to the assault. RCMP said 22-year-old Quintin Ross of the La Ronge district and 21-year-old Sunset Henderson of Montreal Lake are charged with a number of offenses, including attempted murder, robbery and using a firearm in the commission of a crime. Ross is also charged with having a weapon in violation of a probation order.
Both Ross and Henderson are set to be in court in La Ronge June 26.
Police said their investigation into the incident is continuing and are asking anyone with information to contact them.
