The Meadow Lake RCMP have arrested a youth who was wanted on a charge of attempted murder.
RCMP said the youth was arrested on May 22 in Meadow Lake. The youth is set to make their first court appearance Thursday in Meadow Lake.
The arrest of the youth stems from a shooting which happened on Flying Dust First Nation on May 16. According to police they were called to a home on the First Nation where a man had been shot. The man was taken to hospital with serious but non life threatening injuries. Police said their investigation found the man was shot after two youths arrived at the home which led to a confrontation where the man was shot.
RCMP are continuing their search for a second youth who is also wanted on a charged of attempted murder.
